Loved this video. Question on the seed cells: do you recycle them or use new ones every time. If you recycle, how do you clean them so you don’t contaminate you new plants. TIA

Hello Gary, nice and as always an informative video ! I have an off topic question for your. This spring I purchased several yards of high quality compost since pre made potting soil is so expensive . I grew everything this year in containers using the pure compost, my question is can you refurbish pure compost the same way you do with bagged prepared blends ? Your input would be most appreciated. By the way the seeds I purchased from you back in the spring did very well :)))

Claire514 says:

I am in zone 7A, Cape Cod. Do you think it is too early to direct sow in the containers that they will remain in? And would you use your container mix or best to start with sterile seed starting mix? That would be a lot of sterile seed mix. Thanks!

My Life says:

LeonitasMaximus says:

I am following your directions! Living in the same state and having someone to turn to that lives in Maryland is a Huge help. In the past I could never find any specific info that pertained to my zone. So thanks again. Quick question… My cucumbers have been a sad sight this year. I might have gotten 6 cukes by the time I had to pull my plants due to some odd mushy/rot at the base of the plant near the soil. My leaves on the cukes would flag/wilt constantly in the sun (which I know is normal to a degree) but eventually (a few days later) they are gone. I have replanted seeds in hopes I have time to get something before its too late. Also I planted some small plants like bush cukes, boston pickling and some marketmores. Will see. I suspect squash bugs and cucumber beetles but not sure. I am now using the 7 dust you use as with all that rain we had I can't keep D.E. on the plants, my traps don't catch enough and they are just too overwhelming. I might have hundreds of cucumber beetles in the garden daily I am fighting!

Judy Mason says:

Very helpful, as always. Thanks!

Simone Bourgeois says:

Getting excited. It's still too hot & Sept is actually the hottest month for us NorCal gardeners so my peas, radishes, & greens will be started in late September but just started some Roma Tomatoes, Red Siberian Tomatoes, & Yellow Summer Squash

Mike Edward says:

In UK, England south east, we are experiencing very high temperatures and will be much cooler come September, but as this
weather is some what rather different to what we normally experience one cannot be absolutely confident and just assume
what will be!
I thank you for your video.
